Today, I would like to recommed a story book named "Lost and Found"by Oliver Jeffers

국문으로는 "다시 만난 내 친구" 이다

In Korean, the title is "The friend I met again"

 

 

사실 이 책은 어제 부킷빈탕에 있는 HTBB 교회를 갔다가 말씀 예화 중에 들은 동화인데요, 말씀이 끝난 후에도 기억에 남아 인터넷을 찾아 읽어 보기 시작했답니다.

Actually, I heard of this story before I read in a Church at Bukit Bintang. After the sermon, the story was still touching so I was looking for this stroy book and read it.

 

 

보통 우리가 "집"을 생각할 때 사실 지역적 위치를 집으로 생각을 한다. 

When we think of "Home" we consider the place as a Geololgical place.

 

하지만 이 작은 동화는 Home이라는 위치가 사실 어느 위치에 속하지 않음을 느끼게 해준다.

But this lovely story shows us "Home" is not a geographical place.

 

 

 

줄거리 (Summery)

 

어느 날 도심속에 사는 한 소년의 집 앞에 펭귄이 나타났다.

One day, a boy who is living in a city met a penguin infornt of his house.

 

그 펭귄은 소년이 어디로가든 쫒아왔습니다.

The penguin was follwing him in everywhere. 

 

소년은 자신을 쫒아오는 펭귄이 슬퍼 보이는 것을 발견했고 그 펭귄이 길을 잃었다고 생각했습니다.

The boy found the penguin looks sad and thought he must be lost.

 

그래서 그 소년은 펭귄의 집을 찾아주기로 합니다.

Therefore, the boy decided to find penguin's house.

.

어려움도 있었지만 펭귄을 데려다주기 위해 남극에 도착한 소년과 펭귄,

There were difficulties to go to South Pole but they made it 

 

아쉽지만 소년은 펭귄을 데려다 주고 "잘 있어"라고 말합니다.

It was sad but he told the penguin "Googbye" and left.

 

뒤를 돌아보자 펭귄은 여전히 슬픈 표정을 짓고 있는데요,

When he look back the penguin still looks so sad.

 

소년은 노를 저어 한참을 가다가 뭔가 마음에서 불편함을 느낍니다.

The boy was paddling a bit and he felt something was wrong.

 

다시 펭귄을 만나기 위해 남극으로 돌아갑니다.

To meet the penguin again, he went back to South Pole.

 

하지만 펭귄은 그곳에 없었습니다.

However, The penguin was not there anymore.

 

펭귄을 여기저기 찾다가 소년은 슬픈 마음으로 다시 집으로 향하는데요,

Sadly, the boy set off for home again

 

노를 저어가는데 저 멀리 펭귄이 그를 향하 노를 저어오는 것이 보입니다.

When he paddling towards home, he found the penguin coming for him.

 

그렇게 그 둘은 함께 집으로 돌아갔답니다.

Happily they were heading to home together.
